We are proud that EXANDAIR is the only company in Hungary that manufactures textile ducting with a strong focus on research and development. In cooperation with the Budapest University of Technology, we are constantly working in our own R&D centre laboratory, where we experiment new innovative solutions and regularly test our products..
What is research and development?
Research and development is the creation of new knowledge. In a business context, it is an activity that companies undertake to develop new products, processes or services or to improve existing ones. R&D is essential for us. Indeed, when developing a new product, process or service, or improving an existing product, process or service, R&D is a must. The cycle starts with brainstorming and theorising, followed by research and exploration, then design and development.
We have set up our own R&D development centre for several purposes
Primarily because the
1. we can test our software, developed jointly with the Budapest University of Technology, live here. This is essential because it is the only way to be sure that what we have calculated in theory can be implemented in practice. Accordingly, we constantly check and, if necessary, modify the design and perforations of the product.
2. Thanks to continuous development and innovation, we create new possible solutions and products that also need to prove themselves in tests. The R&D centre is the place to do this. We have different instruments to measure air velocity and pressure, as well as smoke tests to see the projection distance and direction of the duct. Such smoke tests can also give us an idea, for example, of exactly how our textile duct can flush the space where it is designed to do so.
3. The design of the centre was also important to ensure that we could offer our clients access to the information on request. If our customers want to see for themselves whether the textile duct system they have designed is working properly, we can prepare the centre, set the heights, pressures and air volumes and test together that the duct we are supplying will work properly at its destination.
It is then even possible to request changes, so we reduce the risk factor completely and our clients can be completely satisfied with the end result. With this option, even an extra-precise adjustment can be achieved, which is only required in a minimum percentage of cases, but EXANDAIR is able to meet this need with its R&D laboratory and experience.
The R&D centre proves its versatility
In the R&D centre, we can test all our systems: we have a lifting ceiling, we can measure straight sections at different heights and we can also measure semi-circular and circular systems. This is important and significant because different rooms require different duct systems. But thanks to the internal mobility of our centre, we can also test systems individually designed for different spaces.
But our group does not stop there. At our R&D centre, we are also working on the development of perfect textile ducting systems even at very low external static pressures. This will eliminate a number of problems and make textile ducting systems suitable for ever larger areas.
We know that many people are still afraid of textiles, as they don't seem to be as durable and reliable as traditional metal systems, but as we wrote in our article on misconceptions, we have never seen a textile duct system that has worn out or broken. There is a reason why we give a 10-year warranty on our products, with proper maintenance.
Why choose EXANDAIR textile ducting?
Remember, the maintenance of textile air ducts is very simple and quick, and they cost much less than traditional air ducts. It's also important to remember that textile never corrodes, and EXANDAIR textile duct systems are made of antibacterial, ESD and fire-resistant materials.
Our various components are also resistant to environmental influences, and continuous testing proves that they perform well in all conditions.
